  • On January 16, 2013, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois entered an order sanctioning Cummins, Inc., a Fortune 250 company, and Foley & Lardner, one of the largest firms in the world, for failing to cooperate in discovery and ordered Cummins/Foley to pay VLG's attorneys' fees.

  • On January 9, 2013, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois entered an order sanctioning Littler Mendelson, the largest labor and employment law firm in the world, for its failure to cooperate in discovery and ordered the firm to pay VLG's attorneys' fees.

  • On December 24, 2012, VLG filed a federal court lawsuit against a New York attorney and insurance company alleging a violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and for fraud. The suit alleges that the New York attorney was collecting cash premiums for indemnity bonds, appeal bonds and contracts of insurance that he and the insurance company had no intention of honoring, while falsely claiming that the funds to satisfy the comittments were on deposit in his attorney-client trust account.

  • VLG filed a nationwide class action lawsuit in federal court against a Fortune 1000 company with over 43,000 employees, NCO / APAC, for failing to pay overtime wages to hundreds of non-exempt, non-managerial call center supervisors as required under the Fair Labor Standards Act.   • VLG received a very favorable verdict on December 7, 2012, in a case brought by one of its clients against Triton College for services performed for which Triton refused to pay. The case was tried to verdict by Daniel J. Voelker of VLG.

  • The Voelker Litigation Group is very proud to announce that on November 16, 2012, the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, entered a judgment in favor of its client, Hilary Pender, in a lawsuit that had been tried over a three-month period, brought by a real estate holding company. The real estate holding company was represented by a prominent Chicago law firm, and the case was tried by two of its litigation attorneys. Daniel J. Voelker of VLG represented Ms. Pender.

  • Voelker Litigation Group files suit for violation of the Illinois Whistleblower Act on behalf of one of its clients against a manufacturer/wholesaler/retailer of cheap automobile parts which were being imported from China and purposely repackaged to make the parts look like OEM parts manufactured in Germany and elsewhere. VLG's client, an employee of the auto parts company, was fired when he refused to participate in the fraud.

  • Voelker Litigation Group obtains an Appellate Victory in a decision entered on September 28, 2012, in EL Funding Partnership v. Robert J. Voegel and Joseph P. Cacciatore, Case No. 1-11-3712 (In the Appellate Court of Illinois, First District). In this case, VLG's client's six-figure judgement against Joseph P. Cacciatore was affirmed unanimously by the Appellate Court.
