Olga S. Dmytriyeva has been a part of the Voelker Litigation Group since its inception. She has litigated, won, and/or settled a wide variety of cases in the areas of commercial and business litigation, trusts and estates, personal injury, insurance disputes, copyright infringement, foreclosure disputes, corporate disputes, violations of the FLSA, RICO, and DAVID Statutes, and many others.

Ms. Dmytriyeva appeared before many state and federal courts throughout the United States, including Illinois State Courts, Illinois Appellate Court, Illinois Federal Courts, Florida Federal Court for the Southern District, New York Federal Court for the Southern District and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Olga S. Dmytriyeva is licensed to practice law in New York, Illinois and Ukraine. She is an experienced lawyer who combines knowledge of common law and civil law systems to deal with commercial disputes and find favorable business solutions for clients based in the United States and foreign countries.

Knowledge of both Ukrainian and Russian languages has made it possible for the Voelker Litigation Group to provide quality legal services for clients from the former Soviet Union countries and to successfully negotiate settlements with entities based outside the U.S.

Before joining the Voelker Litigation Group, Ms. Dmytriyeva devoted a substantial amount of her practice to international law. Ms. Dmytriyeva represented foreign investors in oil, gas and agricultural business in Ukraine and worked on complex projects and litigations involving multi-million international business transactions.

In 2010, Ms. Dmytriyeva worked as a summer associate at the Westinghouse Electric Company, where she prepared country-specific analysis of nuclear laws, export controls, tax and associated risks. She was involved in high security international projects, drafted commercial arbitration agreements and proprietary information agreements.

Ms. Dmytriyeva is currently the Chair of the YLS International Corporate & Trade Law Committee at the Chicago Bar Association.

Education and Awards
Olga S. Dmytriyeva grew up in Donetsk, Ukraine. She received her bachelor degree in 2007 and Masters of Laws from the Donetsk National University in 2008. Ms. Dmytriyeva graduated from the Donetsk National University with Highest Honors, was an active member of a Pro Bono clinic and the Center for International and European Law.

During her law school, Ms. Dmytriyeva was awarded with V. Pinchuk Fund scholarship for academic excellence, leadership qualities, communication skills and creativity and Dr. Amigud Scholarship for high academic and social achievements.

Ms. Dmytriyeva participated in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and in the 15th and 16th William C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna.

In 2008, Ms. Dmytriyeva received her MBA in Finance from the International Institute of Finance.

Olga S. Dmytriyeva was awarded with CILE/ALCOA scholarship and Franklin West Inc. fellowship to receive her Masters of Law in International and Comparative Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. In 2010, Ms. Dmytriyeva graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with High Honors (Cum Laude). During her education at the University of Pittsburgh, Ms. Dmytriyeva received the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Faculty Award for Excellence in Legal Scholarship for achievement in a seminar paper “Extension of Arbitration Agreements to the Third-Party Non-Signatory in International Commercial Arbitration.”
